I want to watch Man of Steel but I’m literally too lazy to get up and put it in the DVD player.
So I’m sitting here watching The 700 Club instead?
I’ve heard rumors of Gal Gadot getting her own movie as Wonder Woman but they typically stay at that - rumors. But I like this news from Marvel. Natasha’s backstory is…extremely fascinating and complicated and awesome and I’d love to see what they do with it.

I kind of love them both equally so I’d be ecstatic at the announcement (the REAL announcement, not just another rumor) of either one. And either way, a superhero movie with a female lead (let me clarify, a GOOD superhero movie with a female lead) would be a big step forward for women in this comic book world. I think the comic book industry is starting to see how interested women are, how proud we are to be fans. I think it would be really, really dumb if they didn’t do something with that and create a movie that women have been waiting for.
I’d really love to see both. I’d love to see both of their origin stories. Wonder Woman rising to become the hero the world needs. Natasha’s entire life psychologically is fascinating to me. Why aren’t we doing anything with these stories?
Ugh, I should work in comics and just yell at people to make movies all day.
Thank you for the question, love!
Speaking of the new comic books I bought, one of them was Wonder Woman: Vol. 1 of the New 52? Because, I shit you not, that was the only Wonder Woman comic that Barnes and Noble had. At all. That was it.
Even though I’ve heard horrible things, I bought it because I figured I’d take a chance on it.
Anyone read it? Opinions?
I also bought three comic books at Barnes and Noble.
To be honest, it was pretty fantastic.
